The 7^th SANTANDER DATAGRO Opening Crop – Cane, Sugar and Ethanol will take place in the city of Ribeirão Preto- SP, on March 8th & 9th of 2023.

The event will bring an evaluation of the 2022/23 crop, estimates for 2023/24, debates on the global market fundamentals, ESG – sustainability of the sector, technology in agriculture, and matters of production financing and the internationalization of the use of ethanol.

About ICUMSA

The International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis  Ltd. (ICUMSA) is a world-wide body which brings together the activities of the National Committees for Sugar Analysis in more than twenty member countries. 

Work is carried out under various Subjects each headed by a Referee. 

ICUMSA is the only international organisation concerned solely with analytical methods for the sugar industry. In addition to use by that industry, ICUMSA methods are recognised by authorities such as the Codex Alimentarius  Commission, the OIML, the EU, and the US Food Chemicals Codex. 

Methods are recommended for Tentative (T) approval by ICUMSA in the first instance. Upon meeting all the  Commission’s requirements, methods are accorded Official (O) status. Methods which are demonstrably useful and have found an established application, or which do not lend themselves to collaborative testing, are given an Accepted (A) status. Details of how the status of  Methods has been established may be obtained by reading the relevant Proceedings.

In an increasingly connected world, the risk and opportunity landscape for corporates across sectors has been evolving dramatically. The Association of Sugar Technicians of Guatemala, began in the year 1970 by the initiative of three Cuban technicians; Senén Viego, Eusebio G. Portela and Miguel Andux, who with great enthusiasm gathered a group of engineers and technicians who work in the mills of the South Coast and founded this Association, which had its first headquarters in the El Salto Mill, Escuintla, Bajos. the auspices of the then owner of that mill, Mr. Roberto Dorión Bacardí.

The 5th of SugarMach Indonesia 2023 will take place on 23 – 25 August 2023 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta – Indonesia and co-locate with INAGRITECH, INAGRICHEM, INAPALM ASIA. THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF SUGAR CANE TECHNOLOGISTS (ASSCT) is a society interested in the general study of the cane sugar industry in the United States and the dissemination of information to members of the organization through meetings and publications. The ASSCT is comprised of two major branches, the Florida Division and the Louisiana Division. Members of the ASSCT generally associate themselves with one of two membership groups, Agriculture or Manufacturing. The Agriculture group includes individuals interested principally in the growing and harvesting of sugarcane. The Manufacturing group includes individuals interested primarily in the extraction and processing of sucrose from sugarcane.

The Florida and Louisiana Divisions of the ASSCT meet together once annually during June, with the Florida Division hosting this joint meeting during even-numbered years and the Louisiana Division hosting the meeting during odd-numbered years. These annual meetings are held over a two-day period during which members present papers on various subjects associated with the growing and processing of sugarcane for sugar. Each of the two ASSCT Divisions holds a separate meeting each year in their own home-state. The ASSCT publishes an annual journal called The Journal of the American Society of Sugar Cane Technologists in which scientific papers from the annual joint meeting are published. The society also supports academic activities at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Society activities are funded through membership dues and donations. Donations can be made by check or through the society’s PayPal account. Thank you.
